&#8220;in the wild&#8221; in Washington state.\u00a0\u00a0Cordovan with smooth gold filled caps, brushed finished with polished bands.\u00a0 Caps are perfect, with nearly 100% of original finish and just some tarnish on pen cap lip.\u00a0 Both caps are imprinted at top with aluminum jewels.\u00a0 Sharply imprinted on blindcap, but with no date code.\u00a0 Cap on pen has the early 4-window long clutch.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial Black; font-size: medium;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/parker51.com\/images\/watermelon%202.bmp\" alt=\"\" width=\"899\" height=\"231\" border=\"2\" hspace=\"0\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;\"><strong>A very early\u00a0near mint circa 1941\u00a0Parker\u00a0&#8220;51&#8221; &#8220;first year&#8221; set recently found &#8220;in the wild&#8221; in California.\u00a0\u00a0Green barrels, perfectly matched in colors, most likely made of the same lucite material.\u00a0 Early pencil with no gripping lines.\u00a0 Caps are the rare &#8220;watermelon&#8221; pattern in pink and yellow gold with raised\u00a0polished gold filled bands.\u00a0 Caps are perfect except for some tarnish under the pen clip, with\u00a0100% of original finish.\u00a0\u00a0Sharp 1st quarter 1941 imprint and aluminum jewels.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial Black; font-size: medium;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/parker51.com\/images\/coronet1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1324\" height=\"353\" border=\"2\" hspace=\"0\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p gold set\u00a0 recently found &#8220;in the wild&#8221; in southern Illinois.\u00a0 Probably the rarest 51 pattern out there.\u00a0\u00a0Very few sets have been found in this stunning pattern.\u00a0 Set is as found, with single jewel pen barrel.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial Black; font-size: medium;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/parker51.com\/images\/HH1.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"1171\" height=\"376\" border=\"2\" hspace=\"0\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;\">A\u00a0very rare, all original\u00a01943 Parker\u00a0&#8220;51&#8221; in hand hammered Sterling Silver recently found &#8220;in the wild&#8221; in\u00a0Ohio.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Not cataloged by Parker and often reproduced, it is a very hard cap to find and identify for the novice collector.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial Black; font-size: medium;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/parker51.com\/images\/51p2[1].jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"648\" recent show and my first reaction was &#8220;who made this?&#8221; until I saw the engraving on the cap.\u00a0 The cap states &#8220;IL-514, 2-25-54&#8221;.\u00a0 Obviously a machine shop model.\u00a0 Different from standard production, including the mechanism inside the cap.\u00a0 The barrel is longer than the &#8220;51&#8221; jotter and the cap is actually a size in between the full size and demi pencil caps. font-size: medium;\">Last year I was able to locate the above Parker &#8220;51&#8221; first year pen.\u00a0 It is unique in that it is not Buckskin but a Mauve color with black specks, giving it a granite look.\u00a0 No, it is not discolored as the color is nice and even throughout, even under the cap.\u00a0 To my surprise, a collector brought to my attention\u00a0the above pencil, as he thought the color was strange.\u00a0 Guess what?\u00a0 It is a perfect match colorwise, and even has the same black specks!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/parker51.com\/images\/filler.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"212\" border=\"2\" hspace=\"0\" \/><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: Arial;
