PARKER "51" Princess fountain pen with yellow diamond-shape rhinestone inserts.  Stunning and very rare.  Excellent to near mint condition.  One of the hardest and rarest 51s.  Test marketed only in very limited numbers in the mid-1950s.  Most examples found have clear stones in the baguette or tear drop shape.  See my page on the "51" Princess for more information.  It wil be a long time before you see another example like this one for sale, $3,200    XJ164. In the 1950s, Parker was still repairing old vacumatic 51s and when it ran out of the proper Cordovan Brown plastic of the vacumatic, replacement parts were made using the aerometric plastic stock. The same was done for the Dove Gray vacumatic plastic uing the Navy Gray aerometric plastic, but this is by far the rarest of the two.  This barrel is from a parts stock of a closed down repair shop.
