Repairs and Restoration for the Parker “51”
We only do repairs on the Parker “51” and we do it well. We have been collecting and repairing “51”s for over 25 years and we have a passion for the “51” that few others have. We know the nuances of the “51” and there are very few problems that we cannot solve. We will treat your pen with care and respect and will return it to you in perfect working condition. We guarantee our work for one full year from date of service*.
*A note on repairs: “51”s have been around for over 75 years and over that time most have been repaired at least once, and sometimes not by the most competent repairers. This means that some prior damage may have been done to the pen, either by glueing parts, setting the filler too deep or not cleaning the pen properly. Sometimes some of the old problems can be fixed, sometimes they cannot, especially if the plastic has been compromised and has developed stress cracks. We will inspect your pen carefully and if we think that the filler cannot be removed safely without risk of breakage, we will let you know in advance and only proceed with your express authorization.

Complete restoration includes disassembly and cleaning, new vacumatic diaphragm, light polish and minor nib adjustments as needed for inkflow.

** If additional parts are needed, price will be quoted on a per case basis and additional charges will apply. We will discuss any additional repairs with you before we start. An aerometric “51” manufactured in 1948-1951 often require a new sac and breather tube.
***Return shipping cost is in addition to the above quoted prices and varies according to the value of the pen.

We repair Parker pens made by the Parker Pen Co. We cannot repair Parker pen copies such as those made by Torrelli or Kullock.
Our preferred method of shipping is through the U.S. Postal Service, First Class Mail Insured, signature confirmation, which we have found to be safe and reliable and just as fast as Priority Mail, but more economical. Outside the U.S. we will only ship Registered Air Mail, for the full declared value, which is very secure and trackable. Please print the repair form and fill it out completely, including the insured value of your pen(s). We only ship in sturdy cardboard boxes.
